1. Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the ITS Cyprus website — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where the service can be improved.

Important: Analytics cookies are only stored if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set on your device and no visitor identifier is stored — your browser may still send Google a minimal, cookie-less signal with no identifiers attached, used only for aggregate statistical modelling. We do not deploy any advertising or remarketing cookies.
  • _ga: Distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after approximately 2 years.
  • _ga_XXXXXXXXXX: Persists Google Analytics 4 session state (XXXXXXXXXX corresponds to our measurement ID). Expires after approximately 2 years.

2. Strictly Necessary Functional Cookies

We only set cookies that are essential for the secure operation of the admin dashboard:

  • admin_session (Cookie): An encrypted JSON Web Token (JWT) cookie used solely to authenticate administrators accessing the admin panel. It contains no personal information and expires automatically.

3. Browser Local Storage

We utilize your browser's local storage to persist preferences client-side, without transmitting any preference profiles to our servers:

  • cookie-consent-choice: Stores your response to our cookie consent banner (accept/decline). This choice also determines whether Google Analytics is loaded, and ensures the banner won't prompt you again.
  • theme: Stores your light or dark theme choice.

4. Third-party maps

Maps and street imagery load from Google Maps, OpenStreetMap and Mapillary. These providers receive your IP address and may use their own technologies, under their own policies. See the Privacy Policy.

5. Control & Deletion

You can inspect, clear, or block all cookies and local storage tokens at any time through your browser's privacy settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).

You can change or withdraw your Google Analytics consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer, which reopens the cookie banner so you can choose again.
