Two road closures confirmed in Larnaca district; minor hazard reports network-wide.
Larnaca district: Agiou Panteleimonis and Onasagoras Street and Acropolis Avenue are closed. Nicosia district: works are underway on Agiou Ilarionis Street. Drivers are reporting stopped vehicles on the Nicosia – Limassol Motorway (A1) and Limassol – Pafos Motorway (A6), and minor hazards including potholes on Larnaca access routes and Nicosia entrances.

Except on public holidays, between 08:00 in the morning and 16:00 in the afternoon, pavement maintenance works will be carried out. During the works, traffic from Paphos to Limassol will be diverted through openings in the motorway (near Agia Marinouda and Anatoliko) onto the opposite carriageway, which will be used for two-way traffic for a distance of approximately 3 kilometres. Traffic will return via openings in the Anatoliko and Anarita area.
Retaining wall construction on the Limassol – Troodos road
On the Limassol – Troodos road near Psilo Dentro, from Monday 24/08/2026 until Wednesday 23/12/2026, a private company will carry out works to build a retaining wall with an integrated lifting mesh for existing walls. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.

Closed section of Limassol-Nicosia motorway (RESOLVED)
Traffic has been restored to normal on the Limassol-Nicosia motorway near Mesa Geitonia, which was temporarily closed due to a road collision. Drivers heading to Nicosia were advised to use the Mesa Geitonia exit during the disruption.
Trench excavation for EAC cable on Markou Drakou Street
In Kalopanagiotis, on Markou Drakou Street, trench excavation works will be carried out for the installation of an underground EAC cable. During the works, one lane of traffic will be locally closed at the junction with Panagias Theotokou Street in the direction of Nicosia, over a section approximately 150 metres long, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using the 'STOP & GO' system with appropriate signage.
Installation of water supply pipe on the Episkopi-Mandria road
On the Episkopi-Mandria road, near the village of Souni-Zanatzia, from Monday 31/08/2026 until Thursday 31/12/2026, a private company, on behalf of the Water Development Department, will carry out works to install a water supply pipe. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
Construction of signal-controlled pedestrian crossings on Leoforos Faneromenis
Construction works for signal-controlled pedestrian crossings and pavements will be carried out. Along a section of approximately 700 meters from the Faneromenis roundabout to the junction with Thessalonikis street, the direction from the Faneromenis roundabout towards Leoforos Artemidos will remain closed to traffic. Access will be via 1is Apriliou, Agamemnonos and Thessalonikis streets, according to temporary road signage. Access for customers to various businesses will be allowed via Aristofanous and Nikokleous streets. In the direction from Leoforos Artemidos towards the Faneromenis roundabout, the right traffic lane will remain closed to vehicles and traffic will be conducted via the left lane, with appropriate temporary road signage.
Central median watering works between Erimi and Petra tou Romiou
On the motorway section between Erimi and Petra tou Romiou, from Monday 07/09/2026 until Tuesday 15/12/2026, between 07:00 and 15:00, excluding weekends, periodic watering works will be carried out on the central median by the Forestry Department. During the works, the right lane of traffic will be closed at any given time, for a length of approximately 2000 metres, and traffic will be diverted to the left lane.
Tree pruning on shoulders of Larnaca Airport – Agia Napa motorway
Along the entire length of the Larnaca Airport – Agia Napa motorway, from Larnaca Airport to the Xylotymvou exit, in both directions including its junctions, works will be carried out to cut/prune and collect acacias and other trees from the shoulders and verges. During the works, part of the motorway's shoulder will be closed in sections. Traffic will flow smoothly in the traffic lanes.
Irrigation works on the central median of the Limassol-Paphos motorway
On the Limassol-Paphos motorway, from Thursday 29 October 2026 to Friday 6 November 2026, excluding weekends, between 08:30 in the morning and 14:30 in the afternoon, irrigation works will be carried out by the Forestry Department on the central median. During the works, the right-hand traffic lane in the direction towards Paphos will be closed in sections for a length of 3km at a time, and traffic will be diverted to the left-hand lane from Petra tou Romiou to the Konia terminal junction.
Construction of signal-controlled crossings on Faneromenis Avenue
On Faneromenis Avenue in Larnaca, from Thursday 22 October 2026 until Monday 16 December 2026, works will be carried out for the construction of signal-controlled pedestrian crossings and pavements. Along a section of approximately 700 metres from the Faneromenis Roundabout to the junction with Thessalonikis Street, the direction from the Faneromenis Roundabout towards Artemidos Avenue will remain closed to traffic. Access will be provided via 1st Apriliou, Agamemnonos and Thessalonikis streets. Customer access to businesses will be allowed via Aristofanous and Nikokleous streets. In the opposite direction, from Artemidos Avenue towards the Faneromenis Roundabout, the right lane will remain closed, with traffic directed through the left lane.
Pipeline construction between Anglisides and Kofinou
On a section of the road between the villages of Anglisides and Kofinou, pipeline construction works will be carried out. During the works, the road section will be closed for approximately 100 metres, at two points simultaneously, and traffic will be channelled into the adjacent lane using traffic lights, in accordance with appropriate temporary road signage.

On the Paphos-Limassol Motorway (A6), in sections near Konia and Agia Varvara towards Limassol, from Monday 26 October until Friday 30 October except the public holiday, between 08:00 and 16:00, pavement maintenance works will be carried out. During the works, traffic from Paphos to Limassol will be diverted through openings in the motorway (near Agia Marinouda and Anatoliko) onto the opposite carriageway, which will be used for bidirectional traffic for a distance of approximately 3 kilometres. Traffic will return via openings in the Anatoliko and Anarita area.
Improvement works on Amochostou Avenue - Nicosia
In Nicosia and Aglantzia, as part of the project 'Improvement of Amochostou Avenue in Nicosia', works lasting 24 months began on 20 February 2025 and are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. The works include Amochostou Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, about 1.7km long, and a secondary road network of about 0.8km, consisting of sections of Kalavryton, Pafou, Madaris and Semelis streets.

Closure of Leoforos Ammochostou junction with Leoforos John Kennedy
From Thursday 15 October 2026 and for a period of 4 months, the following traffic arrangements will apply as part of the project 'Improvement of Leoforos Ammochostou in Nicosia'. The junction of Leoforos Ammochostou with Leoforos John Kennedy will be closed and traffic will be diverted through a temporary traffic-light-controlled junction to be created at the junction of Tryfonos Street with Leoforos Ammochostou.
Pipeline construction works between Anglisides and Kofinou
During the execution of the works, part of the motorway's hard shoulder will be partially closed, while traffic will flow unobstructed in the traffic lanes. On a section of the road, between the villages of Anglisides and Kofinou, from Tuesday 6 October 2026 until Friday 6 November 2026, daily except weekends and public holidays, between 08:00 in the morning and 16:00 in the afternoon, pipeline construction works will be carried out. During the execution of the works, the section of the road will be closed for a length of approximately 100 metres, at two simultaneous points, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lane using traffic lights, in accordance with appropriate temporary road signage.
Plant watering works on shoulders/verges
In the section between the GSP roundabout and the junction with the Nicosia–Larnaca motorway, the Forestry Department will periodically carry out plant watering works on the shoulders and verges. Part of the shoulder will be closed in sections of about 300 metres at a time per direction. Traffic flow will not be affected.

From Wednesday 14 October 2026 until Wednesday 16 December 2026, pavement reconstruction works will take place on Faneromenis Avenue at the Faneromenis (1st April) roundabout.
