During the works, one traffic lane of the motorway will close, in sections of approximately 200 m, and traffic will be directed into the adjacent lane.
Irrigation works on Limassol-Paphos motorway towards Paphos
On the Limassol-Paphos motorway, from Thursday 29 October 2026 until Friday 6 November 2026, excluding weekends, between 08:30 in the morning and 14:30 in the afternoon, irrigation works will be carried out by the Forestry Department on the central median. During the works, the right lane in the direction towards Paphos will be closed in sections for a length of 3 km each time, and traffic will be diverted to the left lane from Petra tou Romiou to the Konies terminal interchange.

During the works, the right lane will be closed at any time, for a length of approximately 2000 m, and traffic will be diverted to the left lane.
Construction of traffic-light controlled pedestrian crossings and pavements on Faneromenis Avenue
Construction works for traffic-light controlled pedestrian crossings and pavements will be carried out. Along a section approximately 700 meters long, from the Faneromenis Roundabout to the junction with Thessalonikis Street, the direction from the Faneromenis Roundabout towards Artemidos Avenue will remain closed to traffic. Access from the Faneromenis Roundabout towards Artemidos Avenue will be via 1st Apriliou, Agamemnonos and Thessalonikis streets, according to temporary road signage. At the same time, customer access to various businesses will be permitted via Aristofanous and Nikokleous streets. In the direction from Artemidos Avenue towards the Faneromenis Roundabout, the right traffic lane will remain closed to vehicles. Traffic will be conducted via the left traffic lane, with appropriate temporary road signage.

On sections of the Karvounas – Troodos road (B9), between 07:00 and 15:00, daily except weekends and public holidays, tree and shrub pruning works will be carried out. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed at any given time for approximately 100 metres, and traffic will be managed alternately using the “STOP & GO” system with appropriate signage.

Along the entire length of the Larnaca Airport – Agia Napa motorway, from Larnaca Airport to the Xylotymvou exit, in both directions, including its junctions, works will be carried out for cutting/pruning and collecting acacias and other trees from the shoulders and slopes. During the works, part of the motorway's shoulder will be partially closed. Traffic flow will proceed unobstructed in the traffic lanes.

Pavement reconstruction works will be carried out on Faneromenis Avenue at the Faneromenis Roundabout (1st Apriliou). The outer traffic lane of the roundabout will be closed and traffic will be channeled to the inner lane with appropriate signage. Improvement of Ammochostou Avenue in Nicosia
As part of the project 'Improvement of Ammochostou Avenue in Nicosia', works lasting 24 months began on 20 February 2025 and are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. The works include Ammochostou Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7km long, as well as a secondary road network of about 0.8km, comprising sections of Kalavryton, Pafou, Madaris and Semelis streets.

On the Limassol – Troodos road near Psilo Dendro, a private company will carry out construction works for a retaining wall with an integrated grid to raise existing walls. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.

In Kalopanagiotis, on Markou Drakou street, from Monday 26 October 2026 until Monday 2 November 2026, excluding weekends and holidays, between 07:30 and 18:00, trench excavation works for the installation of an underground AHK cable will be carried out. During the works, one traffic lane will be locally closed at the junction with Panagias Theotokou street in the direction of Nicosia, over a section of approximately 150 metres, and traffic will be channelled into the adjacent lane using the 'STOP & GO' system, with appropriate signage.
Pipeline construction works on the motorway between Aggleisides and Kofinou
On a section of the road between the villages of Aggleisides and Kofinou, from Tuesday 6 October 2026 until Friday 6 November 2026, daily except weekends and public holidays, between 08:00 and 16:00, pipeline construction works will be carried out. During the works, the road section will close for approximately 100 metres at two simultaneous points, and traffic will be channelled into the adjacent lane using traffic lights, in accordance with appropriate temporary road signage.
Construction of third lane on Strovolou Avenue
In Strovolos, on Strovolou Avenue near its junction with Archiepiskopou Kyprianou Avenue, from Monday 2 November 2026 to Friday 29 January 2027, works will be carried out for the construction of a third lane. During the works, the affected pavement will remain closed for approximately 200m. Pedestrian movement on the pavement (on the eastern side of the road) where construction works are taking place will be transferred to the opposite pavement with appropriate warning signage.

Sidewalk reconstruction works will be carried out on Faneromenis Avenue at the Faneromenis (1st Apriliou) roundabout. The outer traffic lane of the roundabout will be closed and traffic will be channeled into the inner lane with appropriate signage. Closure of Ammochostou Avenue junction with John Kennedy Avenue
From Thursday 15 October 2026 and for a period of 4 months, as part of the project 'Improvement of Ammochostou Avenue in Nicosia', the junction of Ammochostou Avenue with John Kennedy Avenue will be closed, and traffic will be diverted through a temporary traffic-light-controlled junction created at the intersection of Tryfonos Street with Ammochostou Avenue.
Road marking works - Limassol-Nicosia motorway
On the motorway in both directions, in the section between the Skarinos interchange and the junction of the motorway with Athalassas Avenue and Limassol Avenue at the Nicosia entrance, from Monday 26 October 2026 until Thursday 26 November 2026, except Fridays, weekends and public holidays, between 21:00 at night and 05:00 the next morning, road marking works will be carried out periodically. This work will be carried out in sections with the closure of one lane at a time. In all cases, during the execution of the works, appropriate temporary signage will be in place for the smooth flow of traffic.
Road marking works between Skarinou junction and Nicosia entrance
On the motorway in both directions, on the section between the Skarinou junction and the point where the motorway meets Athalassas Avenue and Lemesos Avenue at the Nicosia entrance, from Monday 26 October 2026 until Thursday 26 November 2026, except Fridays, weekends and public holidays, between 21:00 at night and 05:00 the following morning, periodic road marking works will take place. These works will be carried out in sections with one lane closed at a time. In all cases, during the works appropriate temporary signage will be in place to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Plant watering on verges - Limassol-Nicosia motorway
On the Limassol-Nicosia motorway in both directions, in the section between the GSP roundabout and the junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway, from Friday 2 October 2026 until Monday 30 November 2026, daily except weekends and public holidays, between 08:30 and 14:30, the Forestry Department will carry out periodic plant watering works on the verges and embankments. During the works, part of the shoulder will be closed in sections of approximately 300 metres at a time per direction. Traffic will not be affected.

On the Limassol – Troodos road near Psilo Dentro, from Monday 24/08/2026 until Wednesday 23/12/2026, a private company will carry out works to build a retaining wall with an integrated lifting mesh for existing walls. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.

Traffic has been restored to normal on the Limassol-Nicosia motorway near Mesa Geitonia, which was temporarily closed due to a road collision. Drivers heading to Nicosia were advised to use the Mesa Geitonia exit during the disruption.

Announcement No. 217/2026 – Water network replacement works continue for 100 kilometres in central Limassol – Contract 10/2025
Water-network replacement works are ongoing across 220 streets (approximately 100 km total) in central Limassol. Currently, contractor teams are working on roads south of the fire station on Makarios III Avenue and east of the Garyllus River; 11 sections (3.623 km) have been completed so far at approximately 3.62% progress, with pavement and asphalt restoration following pipe installation.

Plant watering works with partial shoulder closure
On the Limassol-Nicosia motorway, in both directions, on the section between the GSP roundabout and the junction with the Nicosia–Larnaca motorway, from Friday 02 October 2026 until Monday 30 November 2026, daily except weekends and public holidays, between 08:30 in the morning and 14:30 in the afternoon, the Forestry Department will carry out periodic plant watering works on the shoulders and verges. During the works, part of the shoulder will be closed in sections of approximately 300 metres at a time, per direction. Traffic will not be affected.
Water pipe installation on the Episkopi-Mandria road
On the Episkopi-Mandria road near the village of Souni-Zanatzia, a private company, on behalf of the Water Development Department, will be carrying out works to install a water pipe. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
Retaining wall construction on the Limassol – Troodos road
On the Limassol – Troodos road near Psilo Dentro, a private company will be carrying out works to construct a retaining wall with an integrated mesh to raise existing walls. During the works, one traffic lane will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
Announcement No. 204/2026 – Ongoing Works for Construction of Sewage System and Household Connections in Designated Areas (Small Sewage Networks)
Sewage network and household connection construction works are ongoing on Kalograpouli and Myrtou streets in Mesa Geitonia; one traffic lane is closed on both roads with temporary traffic lights and vehicle diversions in place.
